Matthew Kennedy
Mr. Kennedy is the Founder and CEO of Summit. In this role, Mr. Kennedy’s experience and vision has helped shape Summit into the company it is today. As a company that originated with two employees, Summit now has more than fifty employees providing services in ten states. Mr. Kennedy is responsible for the development and refinement of Summit’s vision and strategies while supporting the overall process of management and decision-making. He develops, reviews and reports on the budget and business plan and maintains Summit’s organizational culture, values, and reputation within the serviced industries.
A member of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics since 2007, Mr. Kennedy worked as an aerospace and defense consultant before creating Summit. Prior to becoming an aerospace consultant, Mr. Kennedy was a practicing attorney managing litigation for the defense of product liability and insurance actions as well as litigating large commercial cases. In addition, Mr. Kennedy was a co-founder of the law offices of Kennedy & Hutchinson in Boca Raton, Florida.
Mr. Kennedy received his Juris Doctor from Temple University School of Law in Philadelphia, PA and his B.A. in History and Political Science from the University of Rochester in Rochester, NY.
Mike Pritchard
Mr. Pritchard is a passionate and experienced Senior Leader with over 35-years industry experience and is a seasoned operations and business development leader across fed/civ, commercial, international and government sectors with a focus in aerospace & defense. Skilled in all aspects of Operations and Growth including P&L, Proposal Writing, Business Development, Government Contracting, Systems Engineering, and Engineering Management, Mr. Pritchard came to Summit from Raytheon where he led Business Development for a $1.5B Strategic Business Unit, Digital & Mission Solutions (DMS), including all aspects of the front end of the business from opportunity development through capture. Mr. Pritchard leads with an aggressive growth approach that promotes customer intimacy and raising PWIN through a strong business commitment to pursuits.
As Summit’s President, Mr. Pritchard is responsible for all aspects of corporate strategy, as well as Summit’s people, processes and tools. He has led multiple operations groups across aerospace and defense companies at local, regional and national levels with a history of double-digit growth exceeding targets annually.
Mr. Pritchard has a Master of Science degree (M.S.) in Computer Systems Management from University of Maryland Global Campus and his undergraduate degree in Political Science from Hampden-Sydney College.
Nathan Schweitzer
As the Vice President of Operations for Summit, Mr. Schweitzer is responsible for overall business operations and management of Summit’s existing contracts. His responsibilities include ensuring consistency throughout the program management process and ensuring that all customer requirements are met.
Mr. Schweitzer joined Summit after working as a financial manager for KPMG’s Advisory Services division. He brings his experience with project management; software design, configuration, development, testing, and implementation; process development and documentation; proposal management; financial management and reporting; safety process development and implementation; and internal auditing to Summit.
Mr. Schweitzer received his A.B. in Economics from Harvard University in Boston, MA.
